In 2017, I was a founding member of the CoS Graduate Student Diversity Council, which works to foster a more inclusive graduate student community across the 6 schools within the College of Science at Georgia Tech.
As part of this work, I co-authored this article published by the American Geophysical Union on why geoscience programs are dropping the GRE requirement and the equity implications of such a move.

Through my 2017-2018 Diversity and Inclusion Fellowship, I worked with Dr. Jennifer Glass to compile a database of diverse speakers in STEM fields. It is our hope that this database will help seminar organizers increase diversity among invited speakers.
